TestAS for Foreign Students to apply for Undergraduate Degree
TestAS developed by ITB Consulting, Bonn, and TestDaF Institute, Bochum and supported by DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), is a central standardised scholastic aptitude test which assesses intellectual abilities vital for university studies. TestAS is conducted in German and English. The TestAS result enables applicants to realistically evaluate their prospects of successfully completing their studies at a German university. TestAS can be taken all over the world in licensed test centres.
Eligibility: Students from non-EU countries who are planning to do undergraduate studies at German universities are eligible for TestAS. Anyone can write TestAS for admission to Undergraduate studies in Germany. Students in the final year of secondary school can also take the test.
Timing: You can take the TestAS thrice a year.
TestAS structure
You can take the TestAS in English or German. The test consists of the following parts:
Core test: measures skills that are necessary for all fields of study.
Field- specific test modules: test skills that are necessary for successful studies in certain courses. You can choose from four subject-specific modules:
- Humanities, culture and social sciences
- Engineering
- Mathematics, computer science and natural sciences
- Economics
